I sometimes on the weekends like to use mainly chemical free stuff to let my skin breathe, and I also don’t like to wear a full face of foundation either. I usually will put a little concealer under my eyes, with some blush and bronzer. Here’s what I used:
Alima Pure Luminous Shimmer Eyeliner in Nuit- 12.50$
– This is a completely chemical free mineral loose powder eyeliner. You can apply it as a loose powder with a tight liner brush, or you can add some distilled water to it and make a liquid liner with it. I did the latter, which really came across as a very natural line.
I had a teeny tiny bit of smudging but nothing really out of control that would be any different than any other liner I would have used. It actually just looked like it kind of blended out a bit, which to me looked fine! I have had this sitting in my drawer for a while, so I am glad that I gave it another try!
FACE & LIPS:
For the rest of my face, I used mainly RMS products and this tinted moisturizer around my eyes and nose by Eminence that I bought once and never used(I hate when I do that!!). I used RMS lip2cheek in Smile. I also used this on my lips with a little bit of Bite Gloss in Cocao (I AM OBSESSED WITH THESE GLOSSES!) over it. I used the RMS Buriti Bronzer-28$ all over the skin, which is a very creamy based bronzer with slight shimmer. I am not used to using something like this, so I need a little more practice I think. I feel like with all the hype for this product, it should have given me more of an obvious glow but it is definitely more of a natural looking bronzer that melts into the skin. You can also use it for contour.
I really like the idea of RMS beauty products because they are coconut oil based and they have zero chemicals in them, so it’s almost like putting a good for you face cream on with pretty pigments.
I honestly felt like this was a great every day look without all the nasty chemicals in most makeup (except for the mascara of course, I have yet to find a reallllly good natural one).
Hope you all are having a great Saturday!!
PS. While I was on my Green Mission, I let my hair soak in coconut oil for about an hour and then rinsed it out with shampoo and conditioner. Ummm..not sure how I feel about this!! It started to feel REALlllllY weird when I was blow drying it, kind of like I hadn’t rinsed it all out. Once I straightened it, It started to feel more normal and silky. I will have to update you on how it goes tomorrow. I can’t quite recommend doing this yet until I get more practice with it. Feel free to let me know how you might go about doing a coconut oil hair treatment!
