Soooo…It’s that time of year. I can’t say I’m 100% thrilled about the fall here, because I knowww how brutal the winter is probably going to be. Who came up with the idea of global warming??! It seems wrong where I live. I am trying to enjoy the frigid chill that has set in…I am currently wrapped in a fuzzy blanket watching leaves flutter around my yard in the gray dim light…Now that my summer tan is pretty much M. I. A., I really believe fall makeup needs a tweak! The colors that you can start bringing in can be more brown based,i.e. warm spicy plums, wines and chocolates.
Here is a look I did the other day with the makeup from the top picture..I felt like it is a great every day look, with a slight hint of a cat eye, but not in your face. Here is what I used:
1.Yes To Grapefruits CC Cream in Light to Medium-15.99$– I have been using this daily since I bought it. I only will use a little concealer or foundation around the eyes for more coverage if I need it.
2.MAC Pro Longwear Concealer-19.00$ (NW25)– This is a new try for me; I normally am an NW20 but for some reason that was too light and the NW25 seems almost too dark. I think I’m somewhere in the middle, so I may have to have both to mix them. Great coverage though for under eye circles.
4. Sephora Cat Eye Brush Duo- 7$ on Sale!
(The angled brush from this set is truly the best brush I have found for doing a cat eye flick. It has really flexible bristles which you wouldn’t think would deliver a clean line, yet it does! I highly recommend this brush.)
5.Real Techniques Contour Brush- 17.99$ set of four– One of my brushes that I get daily use out of is the domed shaped brush in this pack of four. It is the best for blending in under eye concealer and foundation around the eyes.
6.Bobbi Brown Sparkle Eyeshadow in All Spice-32$ -If you are going to purchase ANY of these sparkle shadows, beware. The color pay off is NOT great and you mostly have to apply them with your finger for them to even show up. The color All Spice is one of the only ones that gives a rich color while allowing the sparkles to show up as well. This is a gorgeous fall color!
7.Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Color in Spiced Cider-26$– This is a medium tawny with golden pearl, almost reddish in hue but really flattering to a paler complexion.
8. Bobbi Brown Creamy Lip Color in Bobbi- Sadly could not find this on line for some reason but here is a similar color (Uber Beige). It is a brown based almost purply mauve color.
10. Bare Minerals Eyeliner in Chocolate Suede-15$ -used under the eyes to blend out and soften the darker eyeliner in the water line
11. RMS Living Luminzer-38$– A MUST have for winter months to fake a healthy glow.
