So here’s a little trick that has been working amazing for me lately. I have always used long wear eyeliners…my current favorite for the bottom lash line is Revlon Color Stay- 6.79$ because it is so affordable, and it works just as well as my other favorites (Bobbi Brown Long Wear and Makeup Forever Eyeliner). The thing about all eyeliners is that no matter how much they say that they are long wear, a lot of them will still get that annoying little run if you are sweating or just get even a little oily throughout the day. So anyways, I figured out a sure fire way to get no running specifically for liner on the bottom lash line…someone try to prove this wrong! haha.
Step 1: Run your long wear eyeliner across the bottom lash line
Step 2: Grab a q-tip and your favorite eye makeup remover (I use Neutrogena)and run it all the way under the line to clean up any mistakes and the little flecks that sometimes make it appear darker under the eyes from putting makeup on your top lid..make sure you dry up any residue
Step 3: Go over your line once more with the eyeliner to set it
Step 4(MOST IMPORTANT): Use another q-tip and dip it in powder (I use the pressed powder from my Bobbi Brown concealer palette in soft yellow) and swipe it the whole length of the line you just drew on your bottom lash line, right underneath the neat line you made and try to blend the powder a little so you can’t see it; this will literally hold the line there the entire night!!!
I use all types of eyeliner for my top lash line because I never seem to have a problem with any of them running regardless of the type I use..the bottom lash line is what tends to cause excessive running if I’m not using a long-wear formula….
Anyways, hope this tip helps!!
