So…my job has been soooo busy lately, and I have been super stressed out which leads to me not being able to sleep well…which leads to under eye circles. I also think allergies might play a big role in this as well. Needless to say, I read a review on Jane Iredale ‘Active Light’ concealer and figured I needed to try something a little extra on top of my normal concealer to brighten the area under my eyes. I feel like this did a reallllly good job! Here’s what nordstrom’s website has to say about this concealer:
“Unlike any concealer you have ever used! Its unique ingredients create a soft-focus effect that conceals while it brightens. Vitamin K helps lighten dark areas, while white tea and cucumber extracts soothe tired eyes. Its buckwheat wax may even help reduce puffiness. Concealer and brightener in one. Reduces inflammation and puffiness around eyes. Disguises wrinkles, fatigue and deep creases. Unique twist-pump dispenser makes application quick and easy.”
Anyways, the color I tried was 4, and it came out kind of pinky peach in the tube which made me think it would be the wrong color because I have yellow undertones. Needless to say, it ended up working out well. It is not really made to match the skin, more to mask the blue under the eyes and create the illusion of lightness. So when it goes on it becomes more of a pale brightening hue. If you tan or get a spray tan(which I hope this is the route you take!), the 4 may be too light for you.
(here i am right after application …even though I always have those little bags under my eyes, it still did a nice job of hiding the blue circles)
